Lynx is an interpretation of an actual 80-foot privateer named Lynx built by Thomas Kemp in 1812 in Fell's Point, Maryland. While America had gained her independence in 1776, 1812 was the war to defend it. In the front line, such privateers as Lynx were instrumental in defeating the British naval fleet for good.
Operated as a teaching seamanship, she celebrates maritime history and classic sailing wisdom.

War machines of today and yesteryears...
Our nostalgia towards tall ships may eclipse the primary purpose of such tall ships: war and piracy.

looks on his
vessel. >
Our height on water allows for easy tie up along the side for loading or off loading of crew & filming equipment.
Our profile, maneuverability and lack of wake, allowed for getting close and cruising around her without disturbance.

The contrast between the 1812 privateer and
our high tech composite futuristic power catamaran was clear however there was a true dance between these two sea kindly vessels on which all has been forethought for sea worthiness.
